Arenberg

Since 1929 theatre has found its way to the public at the grand Arenbergschouwburg, located in the center of Antwerp. Fast forward to the future, and Arenberg is still known as a strong cultural institute within the city, offering a wide variety of productions and breeding ground for new artistic talent.

The inviting and playful character of Arenberg, rooted in comedy, needed to be central to our redesign of their visual identity. This was achieved through the interplay of photography, colour, copy and layout; resulting in playful, visual storytelling.

Promoting Sustainability

Being well aware of their environmental and community responsibility, in 2016 Arenberg started rooftop beekeeping. This honey is sold to the public and offered as a present to the artists who perform at Arenberg. Since 2019 it’s also been infused in ‘Straffen Tist’, a craft beer made in collaboration with a local brewery.

In addition to beekeeping, local products are available at the theatre bar and employees and volunteers are being encouraged to commute by bike.
