Talking Walls

From traces of life, worn to last.

Talking Walls is a tale about finding beauty in our surroundings. By transforming forgotten street art into wearable narratives, they allow their customers to travel around the world through local stories. 2026 was the year our rebranding helped clarify their mission, while staying true to their core beliefs. We created a dynamic identity system flexible enough to carry a new story with every collection, and to elevate the brand along the way.

Services include: brand analysis  —  brand identity  —  brand strategy  —  brand deployment  —  design  —  art direction  —  tone of voice  —  content strategy  —  technology  —  analysis  —  ux/ui

More than meets the eye

Talking Walls has a story behind every piece, and we wanted the identity to reflect that depth. We encouraged the team to give copy the same attention as imagery, because the words turn all these striking graphics into something worth remembering.

The baseline we developed, “Traces of life, worn to last.”, sets that tone. To counterbalance the visual richness of the clothes, we kept the rest of the identity restrained but distinctive; a neutral colour palette, generous white space and Baikal, a typeface that gives the visuals room to breathe.

As a variable font, Baikal adapts from compact hangtags with minimal space to large walls in stores, while the palette is a calm starting point that can shift with every season.

Each piece carries an authentic story, adding emotional depth beyond fashion. Our identity lets that voice speak: the hangtag gives the first introduction, and the Travel Diary on the website lets you follow it back to where it began, through the eyes of the photographers and travellers who found it.

Translating the story into a digital experience

On talkingwalls.world, the Travel Diary is the heart of the experience. Each entry pairs a wall with its location, the story behind it and the clothes it inspired, so every discovery leads naturally to pieces you can wear.

Mr. Henry built a highly optimised Shopify environment around this idea. Browsing feels like wandering through a world full of places and stories worth lingering over. It invites you to slow down and immerse yourself, while buying your favourite stays quick and effortless.

Leveraging the power of Shopify, ERP and bespoke automation

The webshop reaches back to some of Talking Walls’ earliest collections: any piece that’s still in stock can be shown and sold, however old the collection. Behind the scenes, their ERP software connects to Shopify: assets, stock levels and product details such as fabric, composition and more are synced continuously, so the shop is always up to date.

We trained the Talking Walls team to manage content, maintain the custom ‘stories’ metaobject and get the most out of Shopify. Multiple markets with tailored delivery pricing and local tax rules make selling abroad smooth, and customers are segmented in a loyalty program linked to the marketing platform Klaviyo.

Mr. Henry also guided the transition from their previous platform: old URLs were redirected (to avoid SEO penalties and help current customers find their way), the customer base was transferred, all pages and collections were optimised for SEO, and search engines were informed there’s an updated website in town.

The numbers talk for themselves

Since going live, revenue is up 57%, and visitors stay 40% longer, with an average visit of 2m12s. Exactly what we hoped for: people wandering through the stories and finding the piece that speaks to them. And the audience keeps growing, day by day.
